Stephen Street took on a strong field at the Russell Hotel, Maidstone and came out victorious as District Evaluations Champion. This is a great achievement for Stephen as this is his first year of competition in Evaluations. Stephen who is a government lawyer will now compete at National in Carlisle at the end of April and we wish him every success. Stephen had to leave the Maidstone event straight after he made his speech because of family commitments, so he was especially delighted when he received the news by telephone. Here Stephen and his engraved trophy caught up with him at a regular club night in Bromley. |

As part of Speakers of Bromley's autumn recruitment campaign, both Ann and Gerard volunteered to be models for the day and pose for a picture which we hope will make them famous throughout the speaking world. The picture will be used on the club's new seminar stand as well as some glossy leaflets which will be distributed throughout the Borough of Bromley before Christmas. The masking tape across their mouths highlights the difficulty that some people find in expressing themselves in public. |
